Jakkelsroep Plaas 76 is a private bushveld retreat situated approximately 40 km from Pretoria in a malaria-free area. Offering a variety of self-catering accommodation and camping options, the property provides a peaceful natural setting where guests can enjoy an authentic bush experience while spotting free-roaming wildlife such as impala, nyala, zebra, ostrich, and blesbok. Accommodation is offered in a selection of units, luxury tents, and camping sites. Unit 1 accommodates up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, while the second bedroom contains 2 three-quarter beds. The unit features an open-plan kitchen and living area with air conditioning, a covered patio, braai facilities, a private splash pool, and a boma. This unit is pet-friendly. Unit 2 also accommodates up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms. The air-conditioned main bedroom contains a double bed, while the second bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds and a fan. Guests can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a covered patio with a built-in braai, and a private swimming pool. This unit is also pet-friendly. The Luxury Tent Chalet accommodates 2 guests and features air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with a bath and outdoor shower, a self-catering kitchenette, private braai facilities, and a wood-fired hot tub without jets. Please note that this unit is not suitable for children, no additional guests are permitted, and the bathroom does not have a door. The Meerkat Glamping Tent accommodates 2 adults in a king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. Two children under the age of 12 can be accommodated on a sleeper couch (guests must bring their own bedding for children). The tent includes air conditioning, an outdoor kitchen area, private braai facilities, and a boma. The Out of Africa Luxury Tent accommodates up to 4 guests and offers comfortable self-catering accommodation with an open-plan kitchen and lounge area, air conditioning, a spacious veranda, a boma, and a wood-fired hot tub. The full bathroom is fitted with both a bath and a shower. The camping area comprises 2 shaded campsites, each equipped with electricity points and braai facilities. Guests also have access to a shared ablution block with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. On-site facilities include free Wi-Fi (availability cannot be guaranteed at all times), covered parking, a communal swimming pool, a lapa, a picnic area with seating, a trampoline, and a small jungle gym. Guests can enjoy birdwatching, cycling, hiking, picnics, and spa treatments available on request. Guests are also welcome to explore Jakkelsroep Lodge Plaas 68, located directly opposite the property, for additional accommodation options. The property is conveniently located near popular attractions, including the Tsukulu Gate of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, the Lion and Cheetah Sanctuary, guided game drives, hiking trails, boat cruises, and local restaurants.

House rules

Check-in: 14:00 | Check-out: 10:00. Late arrivals or departures must be arranged in advance. A small pet is only allowed in Unit 1 and Unit 2 by prior arrangement. A maximum of 2 medium-sized dogs is permitted. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times due to wildlife and are not allowed on beds or furniture. Smoking is not permitted inside the units. Fires are only allowed in designated braai areas. No parties or loud noise. Guests who fail to follow the rules may be asked to leave. The swimming pool is unfenced. Children must be supervised at all times. No glass is allowed in or around the pool. Only designated parking areas may be used. Please adhere to the 20 km/h speed limit on the property. No motorcycles, quad bikes, drones, or fireworks are allowed. Day visitors are only permitted by prior arrangement. Feeding of wild animals is strictly prohibited. Access to the property includes approximately 12 km of gravel road, which may not be suitable for low-clearance vehicles. Please note that firewood is available for purchase at an additional cost. There is no shop or restaurant on the property, and ice is not available for purchase.
