Antbear Drakensberg Lodge

Hosted by Andrew Attwood
3 rooms | Lodge
Antbear Drakensberg Lodge, situated between Estcourt and Mooi River, offers affordable accommodation at the foothills of the Drakensberg mountain range. This is an ideal place to base yourself while discovering the area. It is a bit off the beaten track and is more of an insider tip than just another lodge. Accommodation comprises 9 double rooms, 3 budget rooms, 2 luxury suites and a luxury cave. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and a fireplace while some also have a lounge area. The luxury cave has a private deck from where one can enjoy 180-degree views of Giants Castle, the Amphitheatre, and Bushman's River valley. We cater for small intimate groups and never have more than 45 guests at a time. The lodge is a laid back, lovingly-cared-for kind of place where you feel a sense of happiness and peace. Nearby activities include walks in the Drakensberg mountain range, visits to bushman paintings, horse trails through a private game reserve, canoe trips, canopy tours and the Midlands Meander. Guests are welcome to explore the activities of the Drakensberg and Natal Midlands.
