Imvelo Loft, Southbroom, KZN South Coast. Southbroom is special. From its gorgeous stretch of coastline, the friendly welcome of locals, the variety of sports offerings (padel, tennis, golf, bowls, surfing, standup paddle, gym, pilates and yoga) and tropical scenery to cycle or run through, or to just enjoy a leisurely stroll, Southbroom offers a relaxed, slower-paced place to recharge and unwind, whether for a weekend, a week, or more. Imvelo Loft provides an accommodation gem for either a couple or a single person seeking a respite from frenetic city-life. Adjoining our home (but with its own entrance accessed via a pretty forest path) and overlooking the indigenous garden, Imvelo Loft is in walking distance to the beach, tennis club, golf club, and the village centre (all within about a 1.5km walk). It is a tastefully curated space offering a gentle colour palette to enhance the feeling of being with nature (Imvelo means Nature in isiZulu). There are coffee shops, restaurants and bars, as well as a Kwik Spar and a deli, to stock up on essentials (or you can order a ready-made me from me to warm up and make life simpler), a liquor store, and a pharmacy, as well as a laudromat, if you're looking at staying a while longer than a weekend. I am happy to welcome a socialised (cat, dog and human-friendly) small-to-medium-sized pooch. Our property is securely fenced. We do have a troop of monkeys who choose to nest overnight in the forest canopy adjoining us, and they do tend to get the doggies excited, but this is very much a part of living in a conservation area.

House rules

Only guests booked in for a stay may be permitted on the property. No parties. Quiet hours from 21:00 - 06:00. Upon entering and exiting the property, the small gate must be properly closed, as should the main gate. Please ensure this is fully closed before walking or driving away, this for obvious security reasons and to ensure our pets (two Dachshunds and two cats) are secure within the property. Please communicate your intended time of arrival and departure with me to ensure handover of keys and remote.
