French Karoo Guesthouse

Cape Karoo Guesthouse is situated in Beaufort West, between Johannesburg and Cape Town, in the heart of the Great Karoo. The guest house offers accommodation with a distinctive style in a peaceful setting, positioned against the backdrop of the Nieuwveld Mountains. All units are located next to each other for ease of access.The accommodation comprises 12 spacious en-suite rooms. The units are not self-catering and do not include indoor braai facilities. Each room is equipped with 100% cotton bed linen, a bar fridge, complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities, DStv and air-conditioning, and has a private entrance. The rooms open onto a garden setting with bird life and mountain views.On-site facilities include outdoor braai facilities, with braai packs available on request and required to be booked in advance. Secure shaded and non-shaded off-street parking is provided behind locked gates.The guest house is located near a golf course and the Karoo National Park, and is conveniently close to the N1 while still offering a quiet environment with natural surroundings.

House rules: Pet policy: We have a strict pet policy that needs to be followed NO PETS allowed at French Karoo Guesthouse NO PETS allowed at the following rooms at Cape Karoo Guesthouse Garden Cottage, Lady & Sir Baker. At Extra cost. Parking: If you are traveling with a trailer, please park it in the allocated trailer parking bay. Bigger trailers, boats and caravans, needs to be parked at the French Karoo Guesthouse side. Smoking: NO smoking allowed in all rooms, will be fined a R2500.00 to bill. Keys: Keys are collected at reception upon check in between 14:00 and 21:00. You can leave your key in the post box at the gate when departing. Occupancy & Additional Guests: This quotation is based on the number of guests specified at the time of enquiry. Only the guest(s) stated and quoted for may occupy the accommodation overnight. Any additional guest or person staying overnight must be declared to and approved by management before arrival, and an additional charge will apply where applicable. Visitors are not permitted to stay overnight unless they have been registered and approved by management. The guesthouse reserves the right to charge for any undeclared additional guest. Gate: The gate is operated by the remote on your room key, do not hoot at the gate. Only one remote per room is available. Please share it as reception is only on duty until 21:00. Lost property: All personally items are your responsibility, please check the room over before leaving to make sure you have not left anything behind. We will contact you if we find anything, we don’t take any responsibility for lost items. Load shedding: In the event of power outage, we do have inverters installed. Cape Karoo will have full electricity supply. French Karoo will have electricity supply for the main lights and tv. Noise: Please keep noise levels to a minimum when outside at the braai and also voices and tv volumes in the rooms. All noise needs to be finished by 22:00 We look forward to welcoming you with us.
